I was fortunate to be part of Netflix at a uniquely creative time. For nearly a decade, our R&D-focused content team wrote TV show and film synopses, product copy, metadata, and promotional video scripts. We were tasked with scripting uniquely quirky narratives for an experimental, gamified version of Netflix’s current title recommendation feature.
Allowed complete freedom to be creative, the result was... bemusing. The team's often bizarre synopses were showcased in several popular blogs about Netflix, articles about specific properties, and how to think outside the copywriting box.
